Sofie Albert graduated in July 2009 as a Master in Law at the KU Leuven. Afterwards she took a postgraduate course on International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Antwerp. In 2009 she also participated at the Erasmus programme and spent an academic year at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark, 2009-2010).
For more than 2 years she worked as a legal expert for the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency where she advised Belgian companies on all aspects of international trade and wrote contributions for the royal economic missions.
In March 2013 Sofie Albert started working for ORYS. In April 2019 she becomes a partner at our firm. She works for our department Spatial Planning and is responsible for handling cases regarding urban and spatial planning, expropriation law and environmental law. She has acquired expertise in those domains, as well in Flemish legislation as Brussels legislations. She also handles cases regarding public procurement and more general construction law.
She is a lecturer Spatial planning and Environmental law in the training for Real Estate agents at Syntra Brussels and Syntra Midden-Vlaanderen, campus Asse.
