Studies
After his Master of Law studies at the Ghent University in 2001 (cum laude), Christophe joined the Brussels Bar and developed a wide-ranging practice in commercial matters, in the broadest sense, both with and without court dealings.
Extensive experience in corporate law
Christophe has thereby gained extensive experience in a range of corporate law aspects:
- Commercial disputes (both national and international)
- Tenancy and business law (commercial, industrial, agricultural and working with private persons)
- Construction and contracting law
- Real estate law
- Purchase – sale
- Commercial contracts
- Liability issues (contractual liability, professional and medical liability, product liability and guarantees)
Christophe has handled various case files, including regarding distribution (automotive industry, large agricultural vehicles and machines, food industry), market practices, insurance, agencies, leasing, franchising, factoring, the banking and finance sector, vending and transport. He also assists clients in bankruptcy cases, and defends the commercial interests of companies in criminal cases.
On a daily basis, Christophe assists and advises companies and private persons in preparing legal documents, providing legal assistance and developing legal strategies.
Christophe is known for his no-nonsense and pragmatic approach. He is punctual and always provides tailor-made advice, assistance and solutions.
Prior to joining ORYS on 1 March 2022, Christophe was a partner at Dugardyn & partners (2009-2022) and an employee at van Cutsem, Wittamer, Marnef & partners (2001-2009).
